Forex Scam Investigation & Recovery Support
Forex trading carries real financial risk, and scams make it hard to tell a legitimate trading service from a fraudulent one.
People lose money through fake brokers, impersonation schemes, misleading investment offers, unauthorised transactions, and platforms that block withdrawals.
STB Investigation reviews cases for people who think they’ve been caught up in forex fraud. We look at what you have, work out what happened, and explain your options.
Understanding Forex Scams
A forex scam usually involves a person or company posing as a legitimate broker, trader, investment manager, or financial services provider.
Some use professional-looking websites, trading dashboards, made-up performance figures, false regulatory claims, or persuasive account managers to get victims to deposit more money.
A failed investment or a withdrawal problem is not automatically fraud. We look at the evidence, transaction records, communications, and what we can find out about the company or platform before drawing any conclusion.
Warning Signs of Forex Fraud
- Guaranteed or unrealistic returns: Claims that profits are guaranteed, or that you can earn unusually high returns with little or no risk.
- Withdrawal difficulties: Unexpected restrictions, extra fees, or repeated demands for payment before you can supposedly withdraw.
- Unverified regulation: The company says it is regulated or licensed but gives no details you can check with the regulator.
- Pressure to deposit more: You’re urged to add funds to boost profits, meet “account requirements”, pay taxes, or release your balance.
- Impersonation: Fraudsters copy the names, logos, websites, or identities of real financial companies or professionals.
- Unauthorised transactions: You find payments or transfers you never approved.
How We Work
Depending on your case, we may:
1. Review your transactions
We go through bank statements, payment confirmations, trading records, account information, invoices, and other financial documents.
2. Check the platform and company
We look at public information about the trading platform, the company’s details, its claimed regulatory status, its website, and other red flags.
3. Organise the evidence
We sort through your communications, screenshots, contracts, transaction records, and emails to build a clear timeline of events.
4. Follow the money
Where the transaction information allows, we trace the documented movement of funds and identify where payments went.
5. Assess your next steps
We explain your options for reporting, disputes, regulatory complaints, or legal action.
If You’ve Lost Money to a Forex Scam
Keep your evidence before you delete any accounts, messages, emails, or records.
Useful items include:
- Bank statements
- Card or payment confirmations
- Trading account statements
- Screenshots of the trading platform
- Emails and chat conversations
- Website addresses and platform details
- Contracts and invoices
- Names and contact details of the people involved
- Cryptocurrency wallet addresses and transaction IDs, if any
- Records of any extra fees or payments you were asked to make
Where it makes sense, also contact your bank, card provider, payment service, financial regulator, or the police.
Do not send more money to a platform because you’re told a further payment is needed to release your funds.
Can I Get My Money Back?
It depends on your case.
The main factors are how you paid, how long ago it happened, where the money went, whether the receiving institution can identify or freeze the transaction, and how strong your evidence is.
An investigation can help establish what happened and point to options such as reporting, dispute resolution, or further action. But recovery is not guaranteed, and STB Investigation cannot promise you’ll get your money back.
Why STB Investigation?
- Every case is treated on its own facts: We review your circumstances and evidence.
- We rely on documents: We focus on records, transactions, communications, and other evidence.
- Straight answers: We explain what we find, what the limits are, and what you can do next.
- Your case shapes the work: We adjust our approach to the type of fraud and the evidence you have.
Protect Yourself From Further Loss
People who have lost money to an investment scam are sometimes targeted again by a recovery scam.
Be wary of anyone who:
- Guarantees your money will be recovered.
- Demands large upfront payments in return for guaranteed results.
- Claims special access to banks, regulators, cryptocurrency exchanges, or law-enforcement systems.
- Claims they can hack or remotely access a trading platform to get your funds back.
- Contacts you out of the blue after you’ve suffered an investment loss.
Verify anyone independently before you make any further payment.
