Binary Options Fraud

Binary options carry real financial risk, and some platforms are outright scams. People lose money through unregulated platforms, misleading investment offers, unauthorised transactions, and blocked withdrawals.

STB Investigation reviews cases for people who think they may have been caught up in binary options fraud. We look at what you have, work out what happened, and explain your options.

What Is Binary Options Fraud?

A binary option is a financial product where the outcome depends on whether an asset’s price ends up above or below a set level within a fixed time. If the trade loses, you can lose the full amount you put into it.

In a fraudulent scheme, the platform or the person behind it lies about what it offers, promises unrealistic profits, or makes it hard to withdraw your money.

A bad trade or a withdrawal dispute is not automatically fraud. We look at the evidence and transaction history before drawing any conclusion.

Warning Signs

  1. Misleading claims: Be wary of guaranteed profits, unusually high returns, or “no risk” promises.
  2. Withdrawal problems: The platform adds unexpected conditions or fees, or puts other obstacles in the way when you try to take your money out.
  3. Unregulated or unverified platforms: Some scams operate without authorisation or give false information about their regulatory status.
  4. Pressure to deposit more: You’re asked to pay again to unlock “profits”, complete verification, cover taxes, or release your balance.
  5. Unauthorised transactions: You find payments you never approved.

How We Work

Depending on your case, we may:

  1. Review your transactions: We go through payment records, bank statements, cryptocurrency transactions, invoices, correspondence, and other documents.
  2. Check the platform and the people behind it: We look into the trading platform, the company, the individuals involved, and any regulatory or registration claims they make.
  3. Organise the evidence: We put the events, payments, messages, and transactions into a clear timeline.
  4. Analyse the case: We identify the key issues and explain your options for investigation, reporting, disputes, or legal action.
  5. Keep you informed: We tell you what we find, where the limits are, and what you can do next as the work progresses.

If You Suspect Binary Options Fraud

Keep all evidence before you delete any accounts, messages, or correspondence.

Useful items include:

  • Bank statements and payment confirmations
  • Trading account records and screenshots
  • Emails, messages, and other correspondence
  • Website addresses and platform details
  • Wallet addresses and cryptocurrency transaction IDs
  • Names, phone numbers, and email addresses of the people involved
  • Invoices, contracts, or other documents from the platform

Where it makes sense, also contact your bank, payment provider, financial regulator, or the police.

Why STB Investigation?

  • Every case is treated on its own facts: We base our work on your circumstances and evidence.
  • We check the evidence: We review documents and transactions rather than relying only on your first account of events.
  • Straight answers: We explain what we find, including what we can’t do.
  • Your case shapes the work: We adjust our approach to the type of fraud and the evidence you have.

Can I Get My Money Back?

It depends on your case. The main factors are how you paid, how long ago it happened, where the money went, what evidence you have, and whether banks, payment providers, exchanges, regulators, or law enforcement can act.

An investigation can help establish what happened and point to options such as reporting, dispute resolution, or further action. But no investigation can guarantee you’ll get your money back.

If you think you’ve been a victim of binary options fraud, we can review what you have and explain your options.
